The Šibenik Bridge

This site is located beneath the Šibenik Bridge where the surface waters mix with the waters of the River Krka, while the depths offer a saltwater habitat.

Diving tips

Descent should be from the left shore where the current is weaker and then down to the crag and seabed. On the right shore, sites include a ship at 27 m which sank during the construction of the bridge.

Marine life

Undersea life includes two-banded sea bream, gobies, red sea squirts, sponges, shellfish, various coral, oysters, brown tube anemones, and brown combers, as well as colonies of orange veretillum (Veretillum cynomorium), a fragile species that feeds on decaying organisms in brackish waters.
